As a farm girl growing up in central Alberta, I learned to love cooking and baking by helping my Mom provide plain but wholesome meals for our family of ten. When I married and had a family of my own, I became more aware of how quality ingredients and techniques affected the results. Consequently, I started to modify my old family recipes.
